According to a research, teenagers who consumed diet beverages ended up having about the same number of calories as youth who consumed sugary beverages. Diet soda is not a good way to quench your thirst. It has zero nutritional value and its caffeine content may contribute to dehydration. Caffeine is a diuretic in nature, so sodas with caffeine will add to the dehydration. The more you drink, the more you will urinate, depleting the body with essential minerals and can result in dizziness, headaches, speeding heart and seizures.
