The Mediterranean diet is a balanced and complete set of eating habits that can help you lose weight, especially when paired with a healthy lifestyle. The Mediterranean diet is low in red meat, saturated fat, and sugar, and high in whole grains, produce, and healthy fats and oils. Traditionally used by people living along the Mediterranean Sea, where researchers noticed the highest adult life expectancy and lowest rates of coronary heart disease, sticking to this diet can help you lose weight while still getting the proper vitamins, minerals, and nutrients you need.
